Heres a hand from the BCPC 550 KO event back in oct(?). im the CL of the day and tourny with 15 mins left in the day. I have ~150k in chips. I have been very aggressive and am basically running over the table and no one is doing anything about it. Blinds are 600/1200/100(not sure about ante could be 150). I open to 2500 with A2o. Guy in the CO flats with 90k behind (hes prob in 2nd place for the day). Flop comes 33Tr. I lead for 4400 and he raises to 15k. good spot for a 3b bluff?

does anyone want these boards to get back to life?

Hi all,

I am planning to play in the $1,100 River Rock tournament on May 12, and then in the $1,000 and $1,650 Ultrastack Series tourneys at Edgewater (May 22 and 24). Since I mostly play online and don't have a big live bankroll, I'd like to sell up to 50% of my action in these tourneys with a 1.2 markup, meaning that a 10% piece in all events combined will be worth 1.2*10%*$3,750=$450. I will likely play in all of these tournaments regardless of how much action I sell.

I was observing an online game tonight, and noticed a player, unworthy of their first place holding of chips with 20 players remaining. I made a $100 bet, with them, that they accepted, that I would win if they did not make top 3, and they would win if they did. With 7 people left this person looked destined to be knocked out with 1 & 1/2 BB. This person starts to make comments like good luck collecting off me, you don't know me, you can't find me. Essentially saying they are not paying. A few lucky hands and this player makes the top 3........Interested in comments, thoughts and suggestions on this, thanks...

I ending up busting 15th/9542 my deepest run ever in such a massive field my stacksize was like 12th/15 a double up on this hand and I'd be 4th or 5th in chips. I sorta overshove 10BB I don't know if it's standard I dont think ive ever played with millions of chips like that.I played so well won 90% of my hands without showdown do you guys agree JTo is a fold on the BU or maybe a raise/fold? I plugged it into sit and go wiz and giving the calling range of the SB 7.7% and the BB 12% it says it was correct to shove.

Oh well I'm just saving some run good for tomorrows sunday million.I played the entire tourney HUDless I cant get it to work I don't like the new hem2 so far.

Whoa reviewing my hands and I didn't realize this because I must've been multitabling like crazy but in a $5 tourney a couple weeks ago where I came 4th out of 2763, I was down to 85 chips very early on 25 hands into the tourney pretty crazy all you need is a chip an a chair eh and I should've won that tourney I made a pretty bad call with AK 4 handed on the final table.

An agreement has been signed between a French company, Groupe Bernard Tapie, and the BoD of Full Tilt Poker. In the agreement Tapie will buy Full Tilt Poker an its associated assets as well as promise to pay back all of all Tilt's world wide players in full. The deal is dependent on a few conditions including coming to an agreement with the US DOJ.

What is $12.50 worth to you? Is it worth your reputation,
your integrity?

I made a bet with a couple of regulars several weeks ago.
We were speculating how many runners our local casino would get for the main
event in a new tournament series. The regular on my right (let's call him 'W')
said they will sell out, I said no way they would. This is the first year they
are running this tournament series, the ME is a $1100 NLHE freezeout tournament.
So we were debating back and forth, and I said I set the O/U at 100, and I will
take the under if anyone is interested. W asked how much I want to bet. I told
him let's do $50 just for fun. The other regular on my left (let's call him 'A')
jumped in and said he will take the $50 bet. I told A that I offered the bet to
W first, so I said how about if they split the action, and I will book $25 with
each of them, they both agreed and I shook hands with each of them, while
repeating that the bet is for $25 each.

Fast forward to last night, the
ME event happened about 10 days ago, they got <70 runners so I won the bet
handily. I haven't seen 'A' or 'W' since the ME, till last night. 'A' sat down
next to me at a 1/3 game. A little bit into the game, I reminded him of the bet,
and he immediately said he will settle the bet before he leaves for the night. A
short while later he had to buy something off another player at the table, and
he asked me to change a hundred and pay me the $25 at the same time, so all is
cool.

About an hour later, 'W' showed up at the table. 'A' said to me
"there he is", and he called 'W' over to tell him to settle the bet. 'W' sat
down at our table, took the empty seat and started to play. When 'A' told him
about paying me, 'W' got this look on his face ( I can see his gears cranking),
then said to 'A' the bet was for $25 between the both of them, and said 'A' got
screwed by paying both their shares. I thought may be 'W' was joking, and
corrected him. He then said it a couple of more times, and I didn't want to keep
pressing across the poker table. An hour later my son showed up at the casino
(we car pooled) after his classes, so I packed up my chips and walked over to
'A' and asked if he could settle up the bet because I had to go. Once again he
said it was for $12.50, and grabbed $13 in chips from his stack to give to me. I
once again told him it was for $25 each, and asked if he was serious about this.
He confirmed that he was, and I told him I can't believe he is trying to weasel
out of $12.50. He that told me to f-off, he is playing poker here. Wow, I can't
believe what I just heard, so I told him to keep the money, I don't need his
$25.

It is unbelievable, this guy isn't poor, he owns a car dealership
and always seemed to have lots of money to play with. What a douche bag. I was
actually thinking of talking to him about a vechicle, since one of our cars died
over the weekend (engine is blown). Am I ever glad this happened. If he is ready
to screw me over $12.50, who knows what he would do if I deal with him over
bigger items. Who was he kidding, who would make a bet for $12.50? Are we still
in elementary school?

From now on, he will forever be known as 'W' the
Weasel to me. Thank you 'W' for showing
your true colour for $12.50. You can keep my $25. I've come across some scummy
people in my life, but no one has ever tried to screw me over for something so
little. You top my all time scumbag list.

I think this hand is pretty straight forward but interested to see how you guys would play it.

There`s another hand here late in a tourney I`ll post later. This was the biggest big blind size I`ve ever played with at 400,000 but anyway.
Would you just shove this hand preflop, fold or what. All I know preflop is that the raiser is being a bully and a bit of a donkey. I searched him up afterwards and it turns out he has over $100K in profit I guess from making calls like he did. Anyway what would you do if you were me and if you were pash123 in this hand:

The DOJ has amended their civil suit against a number of new people including Howard Lederer, and Chris Ferguson. They go as far as to call Full Tilt a "Ponzi Scheme". Here is a link to a news story.

Hey guys I'm single and out of school for basically the first time since I started playing poker seriously in September so I'm really motivated to improve and start making a bit of money. If anybody with a bit of coaching experience wants to help coach me a bit let me know. I think with the exception of a couple luckbox scores I'm pretty much a breakeven player and I really want to start being a consistent winner. if someones on the same page as me and wants to improve as well I'm willing to work with you and share my strategies and go over hand histories together.

My plan is to review several tournament hand histories and get opionions on specific plays and on my overall play like whether I play too loose, bluff too much or not enough etc.

I have recently won a $10,000 USD entry to the WSOP Main Event #58 and I will be selling action for those interested in buying a % of me. A few things to mention regarding this package:

Payouts will be in USD on the net amount (after taxes), and then paid out again after the 30% from taxes is recouped (after any fees needed to recoup). Any money won from the WSOP Event #58 is what would be paid out. Anything earned from any potential promotional items/sponsorship perks are not included.

This will be at a mark up of 15% so 1% = $115 USD for example. I will be selling up to 75-80% of myself. This thread will be updated regularly and your action is only considered booked if I have received the money prior to the start of the Main Event, unless I state otherwise.

I'm pretty sure it's never correct mathmatically to fold getting something like 3.2 to 1 odds against a shortstacks shove since their range is pretty wide but do you ever do it just to make it further in the money or to leave yourself a decent sized stack or is there any reason whatsoever that you ever fold?

What the heck does a min-3bet means in Playnow tourny

This has happened to me several times in the last couple of days. I made a standard 2.5x raise in mid-position, folds to one of the blinds and they make a min-reraise. For example in the $6k guaranteed today, blinds 75/150. I open raised to $400. Guy in BB re-raise to $650. I have about $4k stack, what do I do? I called the raise, he bets 1/2 pot on a K high flop and I fold. This seem to happen quite a lot, should I just fold, shove? Help please.

So UTG leads out 25$, I'm UTG+1 with QQ (due to person in front of me sitting out atm), I call. Action folds around the table.

UTG says "you don't want to be in this hand", I say "Really, I was thinking of raising you", he tells me he's sure he has me beat, asks if I want to shoot it, I say "Why would I want to shoot it?", he says he has me beat, and that he has the preflop nuts, I basically don't respond from here until flop.

Flop is 9JQ, he checks and says something about shooting it, from here I'm kind of confused because I don't think I've given him any indication I want to shoot it, but I also didn't directly say no, I decide to go relatively easy on him and shove so that he folds (yes in my mind this was going easy on him, kind of selfish as I could have just shoot it down, but I didn't want to shoot it pre flop and the flop gave me exactly the thing I wanted when I called his huge bet pre).

Anyways after the hand him and the reg next to him are criticizing me to a degree and I don't defend myself well at all, taking a sort of passive approach instead of aggressively telling them my thought process and why things happened the way they did. To be completely honest I feel like I cheated myself out of his stack by being "nice" and wish I would have explained that to them at the time.

Hope I explained the situation appropriately here and look forward to some feedback on whether or not I was in the wrong and how dirty of a play it was that I did (if dirty at all), thank you!

Really bad session. Highlight of the night was me having JTs flop coming 789Rainbow and re-raising all in, being called by 89 and having a 9 come on the turn haha

Edit : For the record he said he was trying to be nice to me after I lost the JTs hand, and seemed genuine.

If anyone happens to be travelling through Regina the poker room is a must stop. It reminded me of the first time I ever played poker live, at least thats what the players were like. It was very similar to play money online except it was real money and real life. I watched people call all ins for $500+ when there is $20 in the pot with 56o, K5o and A2s. I watched a guy call $700 on the turn ($120 in the middle) with a gutshot drawing to a chop. I worked it out a bit on Carbon poker you get 200% first depo bonus up to 2k. It takes 150k points to clear (75PTS for $1 clear @ 10pts/$ rake) if you maintain the highest status (25k pts/month) you will clear it in 6 months plus earn ~5200 in rb, 500 for first month cash tree promo, 500 per month for playing a certain amount in 20 days (1250pts/day for 20 days/month) 1800 for points (NOT deducted from RB) So in 6 months if you can manage this volume you will earn ~12k for breaking even. Add in a 3bb/100 WR at 50nl thats an extra 5400 so ~ 17-18k in 6 months.
