  • Stars/Party only. It's going great ever since I added a ton of 180s to my grind. Not the greatest ROI/$ per game but definitely doing solid.

Live poker can still smd. Though I did get to play with Ryan Stiles Friday night @ River Rock. Super awesome guy.
  • Played with Ryan in Belingham solid. He lives 20 min away at the lake.

    Poker is what it is.

This forum is absolutely dead, and I understand why 604 pete shut down the original.

I like to contribute and still try to, when I get any inside poker info, but it seems like there is 4-8 posters these days here.
  • dont really play anymore but thinking of getting back into it.  Will only play stars most likely.  The forum is absolutely dead since it moved here. i dont think there has been 1 strat post since it got changed. bclc wont respond to the thread anymore, live is rigged. ppl keep saying theyll play the 550 then not showing up ;)
  • I don't play online, haven't for years. I still play live somewhat regular. The game is good on the weekends and and not terrible in the evening during the week.
  • I play some SNGs and small tournaments on Stars, and every once in a while some Omaha.  I do ok, but the games are tougher.

Live poker actually has been easier for me this year.  I have played cash at Blvd, Cascades and Tulalip (my favorite hand of the year was @ Tulalip, I raise with AA UTG, get raised by AK, I re-raise he flats, flop is AKx and I stack the poor fella).  I also had very good results in the one table satellites @ The Venetian, I might head back in the fall if they are running the Deepstacks again (website does not confirm this yet), and if I do, I will probably play 25-30 of the $130's.
  • Just moved out to new west, so much closer for me to get to poker rooms etc. Also shorter commute for me to get to/from work so more grinding time online. Playing stars/playnow. Donking around with a decent roll finally.
  • Went to Edgewater to play their 330 super saturday tourney and only 36 people showed up for it.  I really liked the structure though 15000 in chips with 30 minute levels.  Top four paid and I busted in 8th so 7hrs for nothing but it was fun none the less.  Had one really lol hand early that I will share.

First level i raise in early position to 150 (blinds 25 50) and an older gentleman flats on the button.  The flop comes out j j 9 which i bet two hundred.   He then throws out four hundred and then says "oh i ment to call" I can tell he has a huge hand either a jack or 99 so i just call.  The turn comes a 3 and i check he bets 600 and when I call he flips over his hand being a j.  The dealer says it was an honest mistake so his hand is live.  The river is a six and i quite quickly jam knowing i cant lose and he will have to call off 14 thousand into a pot of 2 thousand knowing i know his hand but he doesnt know mine.  He does call rather quickly and when i show him a chop he said thats what i thought you would have lol.

Online I am trying to get back into the groove I lost a bit of interest after black friday but have recently started putting in some grind.  Final tabled the big 55 on stars yesterday but am pretty disapointed with 7th when first was 18k.

Anyways good luck at the tables

  • A for poker I am playing alot of the euro time (8am - 4pm) PLO, and PLO/8 rebuys on stars. in the $5-$22 range on poker stars mostly.

I'll only play poker on Stars/Party or playnow at the moment.
  • Poker is fun for everyone...
Except my opponents they should have practice avoidance...

  • Since 2010, been cutting down on poker a lot. Although I have already gone to vegas twice this year in the span of 3 months. Vegas has been treating me well at the poker tables, played at the river rock twice recently and made decent money.
I'll never leave the game, but definitely have cut down, it's a fun hobby for me. I've been making money since my start by in 09 and met a lot of interesting people (mostly through 604). I'm pretty busy with work and other commitments, but would love to meet up again. It doesn't have to be a sport thing or dinner, but even just for a couple of hours at a bar or even try and get a poker table going at one of the local Casinos.

Hope to see you guys around.

  • Lost the patience to play big tournaments. I haven't played too much lately I'm grinding sit and goes on pokerstars once in a while mainly hyper turbos and quick games.
  • I've got a bit of the tournament bug from seeing the degens on the facebook news and twitter in Vegas. Playing micro tournaments including $2/180-mans and making a spreadsheet to calculate the equity of a hand or range vs. a range. This could possibly be used in the future to calculate equilibrium ranges quickly (rather than using holdemresources.net). I will def post the beta version of the completed product.
  • def down for a 604 cash game.  possibly 1/2 NLHE and PLO mix?  someone set this up. im gonna use the i have a kid card to avoid planning.  but would def be in as long as its a weekend (prefereably a saturday)
  • I could host a cash game anytime out at my new place, have a clubhouse that already has 2 poker tables in it and a bar and TVs with sat plus pool table. Next Saturday could work Aug 6. I'm located 64th & 194th. Easy for everyone to get to and lots of room.
  • Sadly even when 604 was up I was essentially the only NL cash player to post hands to generate discussion. Nowadays its just easier to post my hand on irc/skype/msn and get a couple of quick comments, and on top of that posting on irc gets me comments from people that had already stopped posting on the forum in general.  No offense to the guys complaining but if you want strat then try posting some of your own to generate discussion.

I'll still offer my advice on any cash game hands posted as I really love talking poker, but right now I wont post hands because I can just ask a variety of people online what they think instantly.

I still play cash exclusively and mostly on stars

  • tell you what Chris I may tail... just sayin, no plans yet...

  • hey all!

After getting my roll locked up on FTP, I was in a pretty shit situation.

Started with a $500 deposit on stars, gonna try to get to supernova for 2012 (started playing stars in July).  So far I'm on pace, grinding superturbos (cash, 6max).  Started at $7s, now doing $30s.    (need to maintain ~16-20k VPPS /month).

Lowered my handicap by a few strokes (Golf) and I now hit my 6iron 185 :)

Haven't played any live in a while, but I'm always down for an event of some type (esp. golf!).
